Mango Cherry Oatmeal Bowl

Its Mango season!! 

So, why not use them to make some boring food interesting?

Oats being a perfect breakfast due to its properties. Adding a twist of mangos to basic oats turns a boring porridge to the most delicious breakfast. 

Adding fruits to the basic oats porridge can be a lot beneficial. For example:

  1. It excludes the need of adding sugar to the porridge which in return saves you a lot of calories and also is giving us all the sweetness we require, from the delicious seasonal fruits we are adding into our porridge. 
  2. Gives Oats the taste of the fruit we are adding.
  3. We are consuming more fruits but in a twisted manner. which in return is increasing our fruit intake. Which is again a healthy habit we all want to acquire.

Remember, making a new year goal of eating more fruits and less junk! 

Mango Cherry Oatmeal Bowl can be the best of option for increasing fruit intake, making the oats porridge taste exactly like mango and at the same time giving us all the goodness of Oats.

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:


  1. Mangos- 1.5 nos without seed.
  2. Cherries- 20-25 nos without seed
  3. Almond Milk- 1 cup
  4. Oats- 1.5 Tablespoon
  5. Flax seeds- 1 Teaspoon
  6. Chia seeds- 1 Teaspoon

  RECIPE:

  1. Grind 1 mango and 10 cherries in a mixer grinder. 
  2. Cook Oats and almond milk for 2-3 minutes or until it forms a thick paste.
  3. Empty the mango cherry mixture in a bowl add oats and milk mixture and give it a good mix.
  4. now! Garnish with cherries, Flax seeds, chia seeds and remaining mangos cut in cubes.
  5. Enjoy hot or cold.

Suggestion:
They taste heavenly when served chilled.
Do not grind the cherry and mango totally. Try keeping little chunks.

And yes!! It was that simple!
